Biography: I was what is now known as an ‘expat athlete’. I started off in the French system and at 15 transitioned to the British system as I began competing internationally. This was a big change for me as I went from a funded system to a non-funded system and faced many struggles. Despite the challenges, I represented Team GB at the inaugural Winter Youth Olympic Games in 2012, I was selected multiple times for World Junior Championships (but I did not compete due to lack of funding), I came 1st & 3rd at the World Citizen Championships 2014, I competed at European Cup level and I had multiple national & international podiums.
Most proud of: Working with Amber on the initial development & launch of the Athlete Support Network and our continued work in growing Athlete Interactions.
Why are you involved with Athlete Interactions? For a while I had been feeling like something was missing from the way in which athletes are supported. I had come across the Pilot Peer Support Programme in my line of work and saw value in having peer-to-peer support. I felt something needed to be developed that was similar in the world of competitive sport so together with Amber, I developed and launched the Athlete Support Network.
Current / Future Education / Career: Senior First Officer flying the A320 for one of Europe’s major airlines. Studied at FTE Jerez in Spain.
Outside of sport / education / work, I can be found… Spending time with my three horses! I discovered my love for horses in the pandemic and growing my relationship with them has taught me so much. They are great teachers of rewilding, being present and living wholeheartedly.
